Organizations Improving the

Lives of Animals

There are many amazing charities and people helping dogs & other animals in need.  If you are looking for a place to make a donation, volunteer, or just want to learn more, check out the non-profit organizations below.

Additional organizations are listed on our dog adoption page.

The Pet Project Website

The Pet Project is a local non-profit organization which serves low-income pet owners who are living with AIDS and other terminal or disabling illnesses.  The main goal is to enable these clients to keep their pets where they belong - with their guardians. Study after study proves the health benefits of animal companionship.  The Pet Project clearly understands this and makes it a point to educate the community.

Through donations, this organization offers a wide range of services including subsidized vet care, dog walking, litter box maintenance, grooming, and many more.  When illness strikes and money is tight, losing your pet can be very tough to handle. Make it a point to visit their website, read more about the organization, and if you can, make a donation.
