Doggie Dining Guide:

Dog Friendly Restaurants in South Florida

Can't bear to leave your four-legged friend at home?  Don't despair!  Many South Florida restaurants are allowing dogs to dine at outdoor tables with their owners.  Some will even provide fresh bowls of water, treats, or even special doggie menus.

In 2006 Governor Jeb Bush signed the "doggie dining" bill, allowing county governments to permit restaurants to let dogs join their owners while dining outside.  Bush commended the bill for allowing dog owners and their pets to "have a brewski together, have a hot dog together or whatever they want outdoors."

If you know of a Fort Lauderdale area establishment that should be added to the list, let us know!  Email us at Bark@FortLauderTail.com.

Call restaurants in advance for details as policies may change.

Dog Dining Tips

  • Keep dogs leashed at all times.

  • Bring portable water bowls in case the restaurant does not provide them.

  • Keep dogs out of walkways so people don't trip and your pooch doesn't get injured.

  • Bring treats if the restaurant does not have a special menu for dogs.

  • Only bring dogs who are well-behaved around people and other dogs.
